There was a local race in the Italian Alps called the Ayasse, that I went to. Arriving late, I was unable to practice, so on Sunday morning, my first run on the river, was the race run. Quite to my surprise I managed a 6th place finish, even with a waisted 5 seconds stuck on a rock, so I was pleased with that. I must admit, the Mafia is the kayak equivelent of a bike with training wheels. It's stupid easy, and every time I paddle it I am surprised.

After the race, we drove downstream to run a few big drops. For various reasons most declined to go, but two of us took the plunge and a great time was had by all. These are the photo's from the falls we ran, and also the race.

However, since then its been all work. In fact, a mad week of work, but just minutes ago, we shipped out the first container to the USA full of Fish and Mafia's... so stand by... here they come.
