Pintail and Stinger
Another good day of testing the Stinger and Pintail. I started off my first ride by getting the bigges Air Screw I've gotten on this wave ever... totally clean and stuck it into a front surf no problem. I have to say, this kayaks air performance is quite astonishing given that its supposed to be an all arounder.

It just wants to be in the air all the time.

Mirco's comment is it looks like a model aeroplane with wings and no pilot. It's the way it felt!

Which brings me to the Pintail. This kayak really is an all around-general purpose river runner (beginner, school, cruser etc) type boat. I suppose its the "longboard" of kayaks. Just cool crusing on the wave. I never once had to worry about the nose diving, no matter where i was or how I was sitting on the wave. Pretty cool feeling that to just completely forget about it on a 7'4" kayak.

But, it was no slouch either... sure, I still have some work to do on the design, there are some things that I want to change that will really give it more "kick" on the wave and won't affect its ease of paddling or river running abiliy, but even as it is I was having a total blast.

And then, my surfing apprentice showed up (from River Surfing 101) and tried to take over my wave. After a brief battle, the kayak won!
