You have to bare in mind that the Stinger is NOT an all out playboat, but a general purpose river runner/creeker/butt bouncer. I wanted something that you could run a class 4 creek on Friday, win a rodeo on Saturday and teach your best friend to paddle with on Sunday.

Unlike the Fish and Squashtail, this is not a high speed carver, but rather closer to the classic butt bouncer that so many people love. And boy does it bounce. it took me a little while to get used to not being able to zoom all over the face of the wave, but once I got used to it, i was getting massive airs. In fact, I got one of the biggest (and totally clean) Airscrews that I'e had here on this wave, In fact, David Arnaud (McFly) and I got into a discussion about who's Airscrew was bigger after he pulled one too that was big. So you'll see the two pictures of him getting his and me getting mine. We let Mirco Garoscio (photographer) decide the winner - THANKS!!! He he.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the Stinger was super fun.

After that, another friend of mine who usually paddles another design of mine from another company took the Stinger out, and he gave me the two thunbs up. In a nutshell, he said it was the biggest airs he'd ever gotten on this wave. So, I was super stoked.

Then for good fun i took out the Fish for a few spins just to compare... not as easy to AIR as the Stinger (but the aors i got were awesome), but man was I rushing all over the wave.

But, business calls... time to work. David and Im are working hard to get a really original shot for the Big Gun show. We look at it this way... lots of cool airs going on, but no realyl original angles or shots. So, I jumped on my board, with a back pack and helmet cam, and then got some shots of David going off, all viewed from above - a shot no one has ever seen before (because standing on the board gives me a really unique angle. Both David and Fisher nearly cut my legs out from under me doing this, so its really high risk, but fun too. So, here are all the shots, that Mirco took.
