| Yesterday, we went out with O'Neill to film a short segment on river surfing for their promotional purposes. For this, the best place is the Lachines. its Big, and its powerfull and its fun.
Its also no joke on a surfboard. out hee I wear a life Jacket and helmet all the time, and I've been pulled down for up to 40 seconds before - certainly long enough to start thinking about things. But, lets disperse with the worries of surfing the lachines.... after all, we had 2 jet ski's and 2 jet boats for safety and for the film crew, and so off we went. The crew consisted of Jean Louis (left), Sam Cote, Guilhome Larouche, Andreanne Dumas and myself. Its our first time out there this year, so we had to get everything ready, including the ski ropes, the sled for the Jet Ski (thanks to Karl from Adrenaline for coming out to help) and of course, getting the boat that JL, Norm and Jaques bachand built this winter - a 18ft mahogany boat designed for the lachines, and transporting kayaks and surfboards for filming. Super slick. Carbon fibre gunnels and dash... ferrari red... wow. It's cool. |

The Boat - she's beautiful. And the 65 hps jet engine - well, thats pretty neat. We never lacked any power at all out there. | |||||||

| Time top head over to the pit. The pit was pretty hard to surf - really fast and washed out with a super small face that was uneven and ondulating, but after all, thats were the action is, right! | ||||||

| Of course, the day would not be complete without taking the jet boat for a spin. | ||||||
