Alex Dimitriou

joins the Dragons

One of Frances top freestyle and most exciting paddlers joined Dragorossi on January 1, 2006.

Dragorossi, as a result of a very successfull year in 2005, is increasing it's team, and branching out.

Dragorossi's marketing director, Diego Zanga, was happy with the new addition to the team. "2005 was our breakout year," he said. "We have a bigger budget now, and we can go out and get more of those paddlers that we realy want to have promoting our kayaks. Alex's name was on the top of the list when we started the company, but he had other comitments, and our budget was limited, but he's one of those rare kayakers who is not content to remain stagnent at any one point in kayakings evolution, which is essentially what Dragorossi is about; moving forward and looking for new ways to have fun."

"Today, all the freestyle kayaks are pretty much the same," Said Alex. "they all borrow ideas from one another, and so they all resemble one another. All? Not Dragorossi!"

"I've always liked paddling Corran's designs because he's always innovating," Alez went on to say. "It doesn't matter what certain people say; he's been a major contributer to the evolution of freestyle, and when you see the latest images of Corran, it's obvious that on the water, the Dragorossi kayaks have a head start of several years on the other kayaks out there. They're faster, glide better and are obviously more radical. I'm tired of butt bouncing, looping and cartwheels.... there is so much still to be discovered in freestyle kayaking that I have no interest in being stuck in the past. Dragorossi kayaks are gong to let me explore and develop and at the same time let me open the eyes of the paddlers around me."

Be free, think Dragorossi... ;-)
