| Chamby is going off right now... the level came up from yesterday and while the wave is not at its optimum, it was good enough to really carve hard and fast, and when the opportunity leant itself, throw some good airs.
Olivier languedoc was taking pictures of us - its his first time using my new camera, so he did pretty well all things considered. So, here are some of the highlights of todays surf... and I'll say this. EVERYTIME I take out my Squashtail, I learn a lot, and I have the most awsesome day!!! |

| What's really fun is I'm doing all these moves off of speed, not bounce. I'm generating a lot of speed, and using that to project out from the wave, rather than bounce off the surface. While I don't get air as often (yet) as the butt boucners, BETWEEN airs I'm not jsut sitting there in a front surf, but ZOOMING all over the face of the wave, using wevery inch of it - side to side, top and bottom,a nd really trying to get as aggressive and radical as I can with the cuts, carves, and lip turns and bottom arcs... and if i see a window to air... well... sometimes I take it (its actually hard to NOT jsut go into another full on carve - its just so fun...) | ||||||

| As much fun as air is... THIS is what I'm really into.... generating speed... lots of it... and just trying to hit every section of the wave that I can, and use every inch of it to the maximum of my ability.
Hard? Sure... but ohhhh... fun! |
