| The next step is to laminate a skin of fiberglass over the whole boat. Using a 6oz cloth, and Epoxy resin, the entire deck is covered. I've taped off the hull with masking tape, just like a surfboard lap, about 1cm below the seam line. This will give me extra material to sand into and get the parting line really straight and level ofterwards. | |||||||

| Because the cloth does not stretch, I had to cut a series of slices into the cockpit area so it'd conform into the cocpit recess and over the rest of the deck. Touchy work this. | |||||||

| You then pull off the tape, sand the sdge smooth, and flip the boat over. Tape off a similar lap onto teh deck, 1cm up, and then laminate onto the hull. | |||||||

| Getting the glass to conform to all the converging angles and recesses is no easy task. NO air bubbles, or ridges can be had at all. | |||||||

| Now I ship the plug to Italy, where we'll put a primer coat and sand that smooth, then make a prototype mold, make the plastic prototypes and paddle them. | |||||||
