| Last year, a place called barra de Navidad was one of the best surf spots going. A beautiful right, multiple take off beach break. Big but slow take off, so the girls loved it, but it was big enough not to be borring for me.
So we wnet back this year. It was a closed out, thumping beach break. Literally thumping. Anyway, there we were, so we decided to go back out anyway. Christine took a wave in, and got pummelled into the sand, her board and the beach. She landed right on a fin and cut herself open. Nice... this was the first of several injuries.
The next day, she got hit in the back of the head by her board, giving herself a concussion, and the day after, cut her other side on another fin. Feeling much the worse for wear, we decided to go to a super relaxed beginner break called Carazilillo where she could get herself back together again.

| From Carazilillo we went back to the Zicatella, where we got some surfing in with some decent waist to head high waves. |

| Christine hooked up with some Sweedish girls who were learning to surf, so they went out to La Punta to catch some small waves. |
|

| This clown, who introduced himself as "Hi I'm Jim from NYC and we don't take no shit in the lineup", proceeded to cut the girls off every chance he got, sitting inside rather than on the outside with the "men" :-). |
