Creeking in Portugal
Here is an account from Frederik Beccaro of his recent trip to Portugal. More and more people are discovering this awesome region for paddling, so I thought I'd put it up. here is his account:

We arrived from Italy on the 28 th december

We spent first part of our Holiday in Galicia descending Ulla, Arnoia.

Than we went to Portugal on the 31th and we descended second section or rio Vez (to much water for section1, most beautiful)

On same day some of us did the rio Cabreira left tributary of Vez.

On the 1st january we descend the rio Peneda a tributary of Castro Laboureiro. Peneda if as level is even nicer than Castro Laboureiro, famous for the 3 falls.

On the 2nd we did Castro and most of these slides are on Castro. Please pay attention that after 3rd drop you need a 50-60 meters rope to portage on right side. Otherwise you can portage on the bush on left side

On 3dr january We descended Beca section 2 tributary of Tamega, nice with 2-3 nice class 4 rapids

On 4th we did the Paiva, one of most famous Portugal descent. We did section 5- Garganta section
