2Imagine Boards
This page is just a short look at some of the epoxy surfboards that I've made this year... some for shops and some custom shaped for customers. At 2Imagine, we can pretty much make you anything, from ultra light, performance boards custom made for you, to general purpose river surfboards or ocean surfboards. Since we do both, we make both styles, and trust me when I tell you that while you CAN use an ocean board in the river, and a river board in the ocean, nothing can compete with a board specifically made for each place you ride. To put it simply, the best board you could surf in Santa Cruz, would be made by a shaper who lives there and knows the wave. The same thing applies to Habitat.
This is a 6'4" funboard. Very strong reinforced rails, on a 10oz over 10oz epoxy laminate. Its a great general purpose board for ocean and river surfing. The Artwork is a mix of a 1970's retro look of doing the colouring IN the resin, NOT painted on the foam, and laminated in rice paper printed art.
This is a 6'7" rountail ocean board. its designed for general ocean surfing (at 20" wide and 1 7/8" thick. Thruster fin set-up, 10oz over 10oz laminate, with all the artwork in the resin (which makes a stronger board than painted on art).
This is a 5'`10" quad fin river Squashtail. Low rocker, wide tail, and defined edges, with a performance fin set up, this board is made to really perform hard core on a river wave. The template and rocker is different from ocean Squashtails, making this board super fast and responsive on the gutless river waves. The board is also a 10oz over 10oz laminate without any graphics. The fins on this board are custom made for river surfing. They fit an FCS plug system, but are shaped, and foiled to perform on the speed and shape of a river wave. The fins are available as a tri fin, quad fin or V6 set-up.
This is a 5'10" river Hipsquash. 100% of the graphics are in the resin - nothing is painted onto the foam. It has reinforced rails, and a template and rocker optimised for river surfing. It's an easy board to ride, but still performance based. 10oz over 10oz, tri fin, with traction pads front and back (more and more river surfers are abandoning wax for the better gripping, less irritating system than wax).
This is a 6' hipsquash, tri fin, extra strong rails Hipsquash made for a beginner for river surfing. Thicker and easier than the board above, but still has a lot of performance potential in the long run. Again, all the graphics are in the resin.
This 6'4" funboard is for wither river surfing or ocean surfing. A more general template that swims easilly, and is forgiving, but can still turn well. The artwork is a mixture of airbrush on the foam and pigments in the resin to give it a look that is really one of a kind. Super cool. Its a 6oz over 6oz laminate, making it nice and light for its size.
This is a performance 6' Hipsquash. Higher performing than the green one above, with the foil moved back for better turning. All the art is in the resin, and the laminate is a 6oz over 6oz to make it light. This board also works like a Fish in the ocean.
This is a totally unique board, optimised only for river surfing. The botom and rails are more like a Wavelock board for riding behind motorboats. Hard rail from the tail to nose, with the rails in the fin area having a negative sidewall. Super low tail rocker, at 5'91/2", this is the fastest board on the wave at habitat. It has my new V6 fin system... all low profile fins that lock in and hold and drive on edge for carving, but release easilly for tail slides and 360's etc. It is by far the most performing river wave board I've ever made. 10oz deck, 4oz bottom, with all the graphics in the resin.
An awesome, performance based, quad fin, river squashtail. At 5'11" this thing is fast, and super performing. 6oz over 6oz gives it a low weight for speed, and a great flex for dynamic snaps. A cool combination of artwork in the resin and airbrushed on the foam, this board looks as cool as it rides.
This 6' tri fin hipsquash is a great ballance of a board that will perform both on river waves and ocean waves. trailing end like a Suqahstail, with a foil and template more like an ocean fish so it swims onto ocean waves well, and makes those hard sections. 10oz over 10oz with reinforced rails, and all the art in the resin for a cool reto look.
This is a Quad fin, 6'0" hipsquash made for an aggressive learner. The foil is forgiving, but the template is aggressive, so he'll be able to grow into the board. A 10oz over 10oz laminate, with all the graphics in the resin for extra strength, this board is light, strong and performing.
